Behind The Lens Site operates this website and the forms on it. You can reach us at behindthelens.site@gmail.com. We are responsible for the information described in this policy.

We only collect what you choose to type into our forms:

• ◆Be a Guest application: your name, email address, profession or craft, portfolio or website link, and the story you write to us.
• ◆Newsletter subscription: your email address.
• ◆One-on-one call request: your name, email address, preferred call length, the date and time you pick, and the topic you would like to discuss.

We do not ask for payment details, passwords, government ID numbers or health information, and there is no account to create on this site.

Everything arrives directly from you. When you submit a form, the details are delivered to us by email and that email is our record. We do not run a member database, and we do not buy contact lists.

This site does not place advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not run analytics that build a profile of you. The call-booking section reads your device's clock so the times shown match your own time zone; that reading happens in your browser and nothing about your time zone is stored by us.

We share it only with the services that carry and display this site — for example, the email provider that delivers your submission to us and the host that serves the pages. We may disclose information if we are legally required to, or to protect someone's safety or rights. We never share your details with advertisers.

We keep a submission for as long as we need it to answer you, plan a call, or consider you for an episode or the print edition — or until you ask us to remove it. A newsletter address is kept until you unsubscribe.

You can ask us at any time to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter in one click, or simply email us. You can also ask us not to publish something you sent us, or withdraw a guest application before anything goes out.

Send requests to behindthelens.site@gmail.com from the address you used, so we can confirm it is you. We aim to act within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.

We keep what you send private and limit it to the people who need it to reply or plan. No email system is perfectly secure, so please do not send payment card numbers, ID numbers or sensitive personal information through our forms.

This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us something, email us and we will delete it.

The site is run in the United States. If you send us a form from another country, your information will be handled here, and submitting the form tells us you accept that.

If we change this policy we will update the “Last updated” date above, and we will point out anything material on the site itself.
